The S300 is a Steel Strapping Tensioner (heavy duty), a windlass tensioner used extensively for steel strapping. It simply winds one end of the strapping around a slotted windlass shaft.

Packagers use it mainly for steel strapping and pre-cut their straps to desired lengths.
